Another season has gone by. As the latest change report has shown, there's great optimism at Kalifornication S.A.D. and the future of the club. But in order to look at the future, you have to analyse the past, so what happened last season?
There was a great optimism at the club, we were labelled favourites to win division 3b and take the easy climb to division 2. The club started brightly, with plenty of wins on the trot both home and away just to end the season in despair, failure but a slight bit of hope.
Kalifornication finished second in a one horse race, managing to draw six out of 14 games was highly disappointing. Especially considering the strength of the squad and the quality of the manager. That being said, combining league football and a cup run is never easy and as Green is a manager who has never really enjoyed a proper cup run, this was the season.
With great optimism the club managed to overcome plenty of hard obstacles, especially in the quarter and semi final. Managing to win against both Glory Finders and Zeugma Gaskispor on penalties, a final against one of the most overrated managers of all time, Chrille, was on the horizon.
Kalifornication's best achievement in the cup till this season was the round of last 16 under the previous manager. Green managed to raise the standard and was looking forward to a final against a fantastic team with an average manager.
Sadly for Kalifornicaton and manager Green, the club managed to lose the club's first ever cup final by 2-0. Having been high on mushrooms for about a week leading up to the final, Green managed to forget to set up his tactics and got heavily outplayed.
This however, proves a lot, Green is a much better manager and Chrille is a fraud. We're not salty, no.
