It was a humbling performance for Wychwood Forest today as they were inflicted their heaviest defeat since Philisco took over as manager last year. The Warriors now have clear daylight out front and with not a single team in the same proverbial league as them, the title race is over.
We spoke to Philisco afer the game:-
"That was a hugely disappointing performance, with just one shot all game we were never in it. I take full responsibility, upon reflection I feel that I set the team up wrong in both games against The Warriors and that's why we were punished today. However, this season is not over for us, we are still in with a very good shout of securing the play off place. It's up to me now to lift the lads back up and get them playing like we know they all can."
So, a very humble Philisco there taking the blame for his tactical decisions over the last two games. One has to wonder if the new signings that have come in recently are settling into what was a solid unit?
Philisco's attention must now turn to the teams below him. With those two defeats, both Crvena and Wellington Thistle will no doubt be eyeing up that play off spot. The title might be done and dusted but there is still much to play for.
