Walt's a winner
As the close season draws to an end, Dempton coach Rafa G spoke out in praise of club legend Walt Catlow, who won the div 2c player of the season having appeared most times in the Xpert 11 divisional team.

Catlow joined the D's first team set up as a 16-year-old full of promise. Now 34, a skill 17 defender, he's playing as well as ever, his most recent performance being as good as any in his career.

With nearly 350 appearances for the club, and 79 in the Xpert 11 team of the week, he's a true club legend.

Rafa said: "There are no words of praise high enough for Walt, he's an example to all of our young players coming through, and he is still doing the business at 34 which is amazing.

"The forwards in Div 2 are keeping him on his toes, the standard is very high, but that just seems to inspire him to greater heights."
