Hammarby came from nowhere on the final day in Division 4k to pip both opponents on the day CSA Steaua Bucaresti and Jaxonville Albion who were away at mid table Canterbury City.

Hammarby began the day in third three points behind leaders Steaua with at least a play off spot guaranteed with a win. Hammarby looked to be dead in the water on 29 mins when Steaua went ahead. Hammarby equalised before half time and the status quo was maintained as the other game was also 1-1 at half time.

An eventful second half at the Wincheap Stadium had Jaxonville as leaders when they went 3-1 up with 10 to play.

At Soderstadion, Hammarby went ahead 2-1 with a second from Silvio Van Drums, the League's Golden Boot this season, on 81 minutes to send Hammarby into the play offs.

Goals for Canterbury on 83 and 90 minutes drew that game level sending Hammarby top with the last kick of the season and sending the Bromley Cross Swedes into raptures.

Manager Red Army wished his counterpart at Steaua all the best for the play offs in a season where only goal difference ultimately separated Hammarby and Steaua. He also expressed commiserations to Jaxonville who lost out right at the last minute.
