| 9 straight wins gives Porto Kora title |
I don't know what we put in our Weetabix in mid-season but Porto Kora found an incredible spring in our step from match day 6 onwards. Helped perhaps by going out of the cup, we incredibly won our last 9 league matches in a row to run away with what had looked like a very tight four way battle for promotion from Division 4g. In the end we finished 6 points clear of the team we thought were title favourites, Wild Panther, 14 clear of Raptors in 3rd and 16 ahead of old mates Boca Eleven in 4th, which is unbelievable.
It means we are going into Division 3 for the first time ever next season, which sounds like giddy heights indeed. One of our new colleagues, AC Mabic, kindly gave us a friendly tonight to start off our late preseason preparations, and we nicked a 3-2 win to make it ten victories on the bounce. We'll probably come down to earth when the new season begins with a cup tie next Thursday though!
