| R10 - Greatest success in club history |
In the 10th round of the championship against the Legion of Doom, FC Hootz emerges clearly victorious with a 3:0 and did not allow the opponent a single scoring chance. It seems that the opponent didn't necessarily put much effort into proper tactics. On the one hand, he was not adjusted to our 3-5-2 formation, which should have been obvious. And playing with bruise aggression with an H8 referee is also an interesting variation. Unfortunately, the injury to our striker Joacim Palmstierna, who has always struggled to be in decent form all season, is a bitter aftertaste.
This means we are unbeaten after 16 league games in a row and have 6 winning league games in a row to our credit. We continue to lead our division with a 5-point gap to second-placed SNK VK. The gap to third, HNK Hajduk Split 1911, is already 14 points. This means that we will at least reach the promotion play-off for the 3rd division and thus have achieved the greatest success in the club's history. In the table of all fourth divisions we are also still in 1st place. Now even with a gap of 2 points to the runner-up Home Grown Swans.
Now two away games follow in which we see, as written last, the decisive phase of the championship. With a 5 point gap to second place SNK VK, we can take full risk against Astillero in the next game and also keep the development of the young players in focus, before we play SNK VK in the game after next, where we might defend the lead with more tactics. Of course, it would be nice to win against Astillero and have the chance to play all games in an offensive style.
