One more push
Following a team break to the Alpine region town of Bright the squad looked refreshed as they put Vardsbergs IF to the sword in the final home game of the season. The crowd at the Kennel went wild as the third goal went in and news came through that Vaderstad were still at 0-0, whilst we thought they'd get the win, it was our hope that we could nudge the goal difference out one or two to give us an edge.
The last game sees us visit Hollemans, a team with only pride and DV to play for now that they have secured their position in the division, but we are expecting a very tough game. The same for Vaderstad IK, they face a Hooligans team that have been focusing on DV for 3 games now having secured the title at a canter. Hooligans will want to remain undefeated, so it should be an interesting weekend.
For ourselves, of course we hope to make it into the play offs - even if it is just to sneak another bit of DV out of the lads - we don't think the team are ready for the division above - and with the potential that the core of the team could retire after next season the rebuilding needs to continue before we can dream of competing again.
On the Mongrels!
