The manager of Sons of Shanklywas in reflective mood as preseason nears its denouement, and the prospect of season 69 of Euro League looms large in the minds of all. "It's a saying you know-- 'A small leak will sink a great ship'. What does it mean you ask?  Well it's usually used in economic terms. Watch your pennies, they count up, and a business frittering too many pennies might find itself going bankrupt. In footballing terms it has me thinking. We've lost our friendlies pretty handsomely, mainly, we've been leaking some goals.  We only let in about 4 in the entire season 68- we've lost more than the same amount in our preseason friendlies. We're a leaky ship!  A leaky ship I tell you!  How can a leaky ship reach the harbour?  How can it?!!" At this stage some concerned looking media officers ushered the borderline hysterical Doc away mumbling something about a missed medication dose. This reporter wonders if the pressure of keeping the SOS as perennial challengers in this pressure cooker league has finally blown the Doc's rivets out.  We will find out soon.
