Ignacy Czubak joined the club as a young man, merely 17 years old. During his time at the club he saw the club at its worst, spending nine seasons in division 5 and 6. The man never complained, and eventually developed into arguably the greatest football player that the club has ever had. During his time at the club he has also mentored the rest of the defenders, who are now the strongest in the league.
After finally achieving promotion out of division 5 in season 55, the club went on a mad spree of promotions and won division 2a in season 58. After spending three seasons in division 1a, the club finally reached the top division of Super League.
Now comes the part that some fans will never forgive manager B0lters for, as he made Ignacy Czubak spend more and more time on the bench throughout the season, despite still remaining the best player in the team at 19 skill bars. Not only that, but B0lters even decided to sell Czubak with three games remaining, ultimately ending the tenure of Czubak at the club.
While the fans may feel disappointed with the choice, Czubak and the club ultimately parted ways on good terms. The player sold for almost five million, and brought in just above four million after removing agent fees. It is much needed money for the club, who now stand somewhat reasonably prepared for next season with the league, the cup and the Xpert Champions League.
Some may find this press release a bit odd though given that four paragraphs have been written about Ignacy Czubak, and not a single word being mentioned about winning the league. Because that is what has happened: The Barrels have secured the Super League title with a margin of seven points, with one more game to be played.
The club faced off against arch-rival The Clarets in the 13th game of the season, and had the ability to secure the league title with a win. B0lters is well-aware of the difficulty of scoring against The Clarets (1 goal in 18 chances before this game), so he decided to go on the offence.
3-5-2, offensive playing style, bruise, Viktor Kraning as playmaker, pressure, long range shots, and a million in win bonus. The Barrels were out for blood, and they delivered it! Three injuries in 30 minutes, and twelve chances created for The Barrels throughout the game. Despite absolutely pulverizing the defence of The Clarets, it took until the 90th minute for a goal to be scored.
Quentin Stonebridge finished in the penalty area, and the stadium erupted. Second placed Senne were down one goal against Forte da Casa, and The Barrels were finally up a goal against The Clarets. The game ended, and the celebrations continued! B0lters has promised to personally visit Ignacy Czubak at home, and deliver him his medal.
Fans are excited to see what will happen next season, as the team continues to develop. Pretty much all players have amazing development values relative to their age. The two that stand out the most are however Rodolfo Legnazzi (27/18, 18 DV) and Torleif Borelius (17/5, 19 DV).
Legnazzi will easily jump to 19 DV, and do so with a solid margin. He might very well reach 20 skill bars at the age of 29. Borelius played an absolutely amazing game against The Clarets, after having been thrown into the game in the eight minute after Murilo Pardal went out injured. Dick Iommi, despite always having been an annoying diva in the eyes of B0lters, has finally showed that he his a truly special midfielder, after having scored six goals and made six assists in the league this season.
Ultimately though, it is a big relief for B0lters to have been able to secure the Super League title. The team has been built for almost four and a half years, and Ignacy Czubak is one of three players (the others being Klyde Huntington and Viktor Kraning) who have been at the club from before that.
The team is excited for whatever little remains of this season, and for the next. We also wish both Senne and The Clarets the best of luck in the cup final. If we could choose then I would prefer that both lose, but unfortunately we can't. They are both fantastic teams, and we rather not face any of them in Xpert Champions League next season.
