| Four new signings |
After Capek joined last week Knights have gone ahead and signed three new players while selling two for significant profits. Overall, we have gained about an extra three million econ through our transfer dealings but at the same time increased the training costs for the future. It will probably be worth it though.
The profits might have been bigger had we not chosen to splash out 3 million econ on Bror Haggander. This is a gamble, but if he doubles he will be worth a significant amount of money and will help us get closer towards our goal of 200 million. The second signing is a new young goalkeeper, Sten Adaktusson who replaces Hugo Christiansson who ended up becoming the shortest serving first choice goalkeeper in club history, even Aurelio Picasso started more games than Christiansson did! Picasso also won more games for that matter...
That would have been it but we got tipped off by a manager from the Power League as to an undervalued 17/5 and signed Yasser Wasim as a result. He will rotate with Rafael Martin Vazquez in midfield but might actually take priority as a starter now.
As for the sales, Christiansson was sold for 3 662 000 econ and Frederick Keegan went for 5 231 100 econ, generating about 9 million econ. But about 5.5 million econ of that was spent on new players and a bunch more was spent on evaluation and training so the profit margins were about 3 million. We also sacked Sid Godden.
We also won our first cup match against Deep Sea and confirmed squad numbers for the new season. There have been a fair few changes, Mieciu Pawlik switches to 17 from 7, Harry Powys changes from 23 to 2, Henry Langmore changes from 5 to 6 and Alanzo Baroja changes from 18 to 5. Capek takes 15, Haggander takes 3 which is coincidential because that was Lagergren's shirt number, Adaktusson takes 13 and Wassim takes 7.
