Girlymen relegated |
A 3-0 drubbing from Teuchters United has sealed the seemingly inevitable relegation of Economic Girlymen for another season. The club are also believed to be facing a financial crisis after the club's new Robodebt scheme has failed to yield the expected revenues.
While the dust has yet to settle on what has been a disastrous season for the Dream League's only truly gender-neutral club, it's believed that Scottie from marketing, architect of the failed Robodebt scheme, won't be at the club next season. Manager Pacific Panache, who's own position is believed to be under threat, would only praise his players for their contribution to the season.
"All the rumours are true. Financially, this club is broke, skint and in deep poo. Well, what did you expect from the Economic Girlymen anyway? With that in mind, I must commend the players for their efforts this season. Just imagine how much worse off we'd be financially if we'd had to actually pay a few win bonuses out? Shocking, eh?"
Meanwhile, former Economic Girlymen chairman Donna Trump, himself facing a string of criminal charges in the US, has called for Panache to be dismissed.
"We need to make Girlymen great again. Panache is far too manly to be at this club. The line of 'Make Girlymen great again,' the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody's using it, they are all loving it. I don't know, I guess I should copyright it, maybe I have copyrighted it."
