South Hooligans
Division 3d, Dream League
Manager: Sommers
XCL LXX
South Hooligans coaching staff has a real feeling of 'out of our depth' with the confirmation of the Xpert Champions League group stage for XCL LXX. The club rejoins the elite competition in its 70th version, after our last involvement way back in XCL XXXIV. That's a long 36 seasons between drinks... but it's great to be back!

A quick look at the 32 teams involved shows how far out of our depth we are... 29 of the teams are currently in their Premier Division equivalent or Division 1... given we won the Dream League Cup from Division 3 (and have now promoted to Division 2), we are well and truly an underdog! One other team is in Div 2 and one in Div 3 - it'll be interesting to see how the three of us go!

Of course, we have actually won the XCL before (XXVIII), along with making the Round of 16 twice and a semi final another season... so the club has a proud history in this competition. At best and with luck on our side, we feel we might be able to progress past the group stage, but of course at this level we could well lose all six group games too!

Now we need to see if we can handle three games a week... finally, all the best to fellow Dream League representative, Yarmouth Town FC, who we believe has a good chance of going deep into the XCL.
