Thank you for the memories
It has been a tough week for all at Steaua this week. Saying goodbye to two legends who helped to carve our way through the league. Arguably the greatest two players to ever serve the club have now gone.

Jens Kjeld Asbæk, 257 games for the club in midfield over the course of 15 seasons. Joining for a scandalous 147,000 econ. He would go on to be worth much more than that in his prime. 66 goals and 74 assists did not reflect this man's contribution. A legend of this club.

Tomer Rosenbaum, joined the club 1 day after Jens - again providing 15 seasons of service. He was picked up for an eye watering 47,000 econ. A predator in front of goal. 257 matches. 156 goals and 81 assists. We really are going to miss those goals. He's been a mentor for many a young striker coming through this club. Another absolute legend.

These guys took up the attention of most of our opponents throughout their time here. It's hard to put a figure on it but they were closely marked more than most. But the class still shone through.

Now we switch our sights to the present. The old guard has gone, with the exception of GK Gusten Bremberg. He will be the last voice of the old boys to go. But he will help oversee the wild gamble of selling the entire side and investing in a crop of talented youngsters.

Don't get me wrong. We are getting royally hammered in most games right now. But we are Steaua. We work hard, train hard, develop our players and we will be back. It might take another 5 seasons before we start our rise but when we do. We have one goal in mind... to be Hatrick League champions. For now though, we will just have to take the beatings.
