Banana Grove 5 - 1 Belle Vue Strikers
Banana Grove moved out of the relegation zone in style as they slapped five goals past Belle Vue Strikers. With two games of the season remaining, the turn in confidence could be crucial before the Grove head to Cerin Amroth next week with hopes of dragging them into the relegation mix.
While post-match talk should have been focused on the performance on the pitch, it was behaviour on the touchline which was the focus of the post-match press conference with manager Dave.
"We noticed you getting vocal with the Strikers manager. Our lip-readers tell us it was something about a 'fantasy league' and 'World Cup predictions'. What was that all about?" asked a reporter from the Blues & Star.
"Let's just say today showed who the top boss is," said Dave. "Hopefully we'll meet again one day and put six past them."
