Dreaded double-header done and dusted
"Mister you are a master. Great goal son," Matchstick Men manager Tony Brazil explodes out of the dug out at Thanos' Titan stadium on the 75th minute, "the match had drifted away from us after our early opening goal and we were two one down till Quigley Mister's great opportunist goal. Two two with fifteen to play, can we go one better?"
It was tense 15 minutes for both sets of managers, players and fans but no more goals were scored so it ends 2-2. Honours even and league positions stay the same, Matchsticks top and Thanos second.
Brazil is optimistic in the post-match press conference, "the dreaded top of the table double-header is done and dusted, we emerge with a win and draw plus still top of the table. Out of the cup too, so all focus is on the remaining six rounds.
"Our title challengers still have pesky cup matches to contend with, Thanos in the league cup and Perak in the Champions League," Brazil warms, "we hope they both do very well in those competitions, like reaching the finals. Best of luck lads. Concentrate on them and leave the league to us."
