Ultimate League, Ultimate League
Manager: Philbin2004
Philbin2004 'Mission accomplished'.
Philbin2004 looked a happy man today after his side remarkably qualified for the playoffs and then won it 2-1 to reach the Ultimate League top flight. Philbin2004 who has almost been in charge of FC Giv Me That for 3 years told of his success in an emotional press conference at the training ground this morning.

'Its been 3 years in the making, but we've finally done it. The play off was a nail biting affair just as last years was. When Junghi belted in that volley after 30 odd minutes I thought 'this is it'. They equalised just after the break and looked a dominant force. But we have some great individual players and Nolan scored the goal of his life when he too knocked home a stunning volley to win the game.

'Can I believe it, No. There are 2500 other managers in this league and 2800 odd teams and we're among the top 8, its remarkable. We don't have the strongest team but we do have grit, determination and resilience. A lot of managers switch teams to gain success, but not me. When I took over this team in division 5 it had potential to succeed and I've given them my everything to reach this stage.

'Who cares if we lose every game, we can say we where there. I'd take 14 straight loses everyday of the week rather than languish in division 1 again. Yesterday was the greatest moment of my career and a highlight which will not be topped for a while. 3 years and finally we can say we done it, we done it slowly and the hard way, but we done it'
