Cup tie in balance after thriller

Fans of NK Svoboda were treated to a real spectacle this evening as their side played out an entertaining 4-4 draw against Real Eleven FC, in the 1st round of the Final League Cup. The lead swung both ways throughout the match as both sides turned up with an offensive mindset, hoping to put the cup tie to bed before the second leg. Svoboda's followers had a chance to see a lot of their new signings in action, and will have been pleased to see new defender and dead ball specialist Skjalg Wardenær making an impact by scoring a penalty in the 11th minute. Another notable mention goes to Minel Sighiartãu, whose fine, long-range pass allowed captain Samir Cesar to slam home his second goal from long range in the 92nd minute; earning a draw for the home side after Emir Valencic had swept in one of his trademark freekicks for the second. Williman had impressed on the media pre-game that his focus was on promotion this season, but his young side performed admirably against a team in the tier above; and he will definitely harbour hopes of an upset back at Eleven Park in a week's time.
