Notorious Irish Gangster, John Gilligan, has taken the reins of struggling Division 6:5 side, Moyglass United. Gilligan was released from hospital last week following an attempted murder in a Dublin estate where Gilligan was shot through the chest 13 times as he sat on the toilet. The infamous criminal is said to be "recovering" in a secluded area of South Tipperary and has taken up football management as part of his prescribed 'emotional rehabilitation'.
Club captain, Suphi Dereli, gave a statement on behalf of the club during the official announcement this morning, "we are happy, no, to have John work with us. He has background with football in Dublin and we are pleased to help him with his recovery after shooting".
Dereli seemed to mirror his new coach's aggressive personality when he insisted that Moyglass were "definitely" going to climb out of the relegation zone and sent out a collective threat to title rivals, Steaua Bucharest, FC Katalunia and Fabriken UCS, that any team who, "dares stand in our way" will be "disposed of".
The title race just got a lot more interesting.
