Magic of the cup

With their league season in total turmoil and it's already beginning to look like Dynamo will be sent straight back to division 5 as they sit bottom and look easy pickings so far for their opponents, the club has been throwing huge weight behind the sides cup challenge in a hope to keep fans happy.

In an open day yesterday named "Cups and coffee" the club opened its doors to fans in a one off treat as trophies from the world over as well as past winners and celebrities all were on display for the fans to mingle with, have photos taken as well as enjoy hot beverages and later on a few cold ones in an evening meal and drinks with a disco for anyone wanting to bust some moves.

As always the club heavily subsidised all costs and season ticket holders were given first allocation on tickets, limited to just 1000 for the night, but the day's activities were open to 15,000 in all and they were duelly snapped up.

Fans were overjoyed at having there picture taken with the FA cup and were able to meet with former Liverpool legend Ian Rush, no stranger to the cup after scoring in both the 86 and 89 winning finals. Those of a more European liking were star struck when alongside the chance to see the champions league trophy were able to have photos taken with Paulo Maldini, some say the best defender of us generation and a man who lifted the cup numerous times with AC Milan. Whilst the biggest crowds of the day were reserved for the FIFA World Cup trophy and former German full back Andreas Brehme who's penalty for on the trophy in 1990.

Current Dynamo stars and their manager Dyson were on hand all day serving beverages as well as signing autographs as fans enjoyed themselves in the unique atmosphere created by the event. The evening party was enjoyed by all who stayed behind and many pints and shorts were consumed, perhaps a few too many by certain individuals but thankfully the brawl that erupted between current Dynamo striker and Ian Rush rumoured to be over finishing techniques was quickly blown over and the party continued.

The highlight of most of the guests evening was the pre dinner speech given by the clubs manager Dyson, a talk which many labelled as both hilarious and insightful and involved an indepth glance at his plans for the club.

Following the day the clubs ticket office have revealed they have totally sold out of there allocation of tickets for Friday's tie against Orlando Magic as they get ready to go head to head with the division 2 side.

All in all the magic of the cup is well and truly alive at Dynamo Dyson.
