Brazil trounced as UAO hit six! |
UAO manager JIAM took the reigns of his 4th game in charge against real brazil today. His first away league game in charge and still boasting an impressive unbeaten start to his managerial career at UAO. With 2 wins & 2 draws.
JIAM lined UAO up with an adventurous 3-5-2 clearly keen to take advantage of the weak wings that brazil had, if UAO were to beat brazil they had to get their deliveries into the box right & hit the back of the net. Simple? Yes?
JIAM never looked anxious on the touchline and he had every reason to be calm especially as the young managers tactic pretty much paid off from kick off. A few passes around the back keeping possession before launching a direct diagonal ball across from right to left to send winger Fuentes a clean run down the left wing but a quick cross ended in no avail but a corner was the token gained from an impressive move. A quickly whipped in corner cause mayhem in brazils box and after a few panicky sliced clearences the ball landed at experienced striker javiers's feet. Javier easily caressed the ball home on the 6 yard line to make it 1-0 with only 132 seconds played, an impressive start by the division 7:11 winners.
The forward thinking football however didn't stop UAO didn't take their foot off the gas as they pushed for another goal and just 13 minutes later, a few broken down moves towards goal and the almost comical defending brazil were contributing. UAO made it 2-0. Javier again hitting the target. Again playing the ball around the back with a slower tempo to draw brazil out UAO switched from slower to higher in an instants and before brazil could turn and run another winger was in, this time the right winger Mitternacht and this time the quick first time cross worked a treat perfectly landing on the forehead of one Carles Javier, away he went as the ball hit the back of the net, the away fans up again to applaud their experienced head at the foot of their attack. 2-0 Brazil now had a mountain to climb.
You would think after two goals had come from diagonal balls brazil wound have learnt their lesson by trying to play a high line, but no, they didn't and even more unbelievable is that Javier completed a fabulous 25 minute first half hat-trick. As another well hit ball sailed across the pitch Mittermacht again found room and after neat trickery he beat his opposition full back with pace and dinked a cheeky ball towards the back post, Javier stood there almost in slow motion as the ball landed on his head and planted once again into the back of the net. 3-0 Javier hat-trick what a day for the 31 year old, a day where he proved too many including UAO fans he still had the moves, the precision and the traits of your common out and out goal-scorer.
So a 25 minute hat-trick, an elated JIAM on the pitchside, a happy following of more than 2,000 diehard UAO fans and the only way it could have got better is by scoring again before half-time. They did just that. Brazil attempted to try and keep the ball to try and delay the inevitable damage that was being laid out in front of them. Instead they lost the ball and their concentration and defender Margherti not only won the ball but threaded a wonderful ball through to Iuliano and he was through, one on one, say no more really.. 4-0 the ball slotted underneath the hapless & rather frustrated goalkeeper. 4-0 & it was only half-time, blimey!
The second half rather predictably slowed down, players were tired after a phenomenal first half and chances became tougher to eak out. But a chance was eventually made and taken and the away support was again up on there feet. Club captain Iglesias showed passion to win the ball and then run into the channels before whipping a high dropping ball into the box, but this time Javier wasn't there, no in fact winger Mitternacht was there to drive the ball with his head into the far corner, brazil looked fragile and broken but there was one more, another goal before the end, this one the best..
Signori, a UAO youth graduate, recently had displayed his hunger to get more first team football to nail down a 1st team spot, this goal will have done him wonders. After a few neat intricate passes between himself and 3 other players he waltzed past a couple of half hearted brazil challenges before unleashing an incredible 25 yard strike into the very top left angle, the keeper was rooted, the defence watched in amazement, JIAM clapped pitchside. We had just witnessed a wonderful goal.
Fortunately for brazil the final whistle finally came, the onslaught was over. 6-0 the full time score.
JIAM said at fulltime ''They (Brazil) were never in it, we always looked likely to go on and score more after the 2nd and 3rd. They looked dry of confidence. I think they'll definitely struggle this year''
''I don't want to take anything away from the boys though they were magnificent and so too were the fans and we hope to keep the good times rolling in our next game against Pissabon, who're a tough opposition''
