Title Number Five for Gun Crime
CFC Gun Crime won their last game of the season at home to Atletico de Madrid club by more goals than FC Elmo won by at the Street Sharks and are therefore crowned champions of the Power League for the fifth time in the past seven seasons.

"The squad for the Madrid game was minus our best defender Hooke and midfielder Beck both due to picking up their third yellow card in the previous week's game. This meant versatile midfielder Aprodu being pressed into defence with old Aneröd and young Kerrigan making up the numbers in midfield."

"As the game started it became clear that Madrid were marking our playmaker Enfield which translated into very few chances being created by the lads. Luckily the strike force of Guardia and Luger were in fine form converting the five chances created by the midfield into four goals. The defence chipped in too keeping out Madrid's two chances."

"Enough for the facts more on the emotions... that was the closest Gun Crime have come to letting the title slip when it was in their grasp! We have Elmo and Dragon Ryders to thank for that as the lads could only take three points from the four games against them this season. The Dragons being the only team the lads have lost to in the league in the last two seasons and Elmo who drew level with us on points and goal difference in the penultimate league game."

So what about next season?

"Firstly we want to wish AladdinSane and his Zoetrope good luck in their rebuild. See you in a few seasons time, that's more than three but less than ten ;-)"

As for Gun Crime the midfield is getting very old, time for Walther to fund a good young midfielder? The problem with that is there are some very good teams getting promoted into the top flight next season which'll make it difficult to develop any youngsters using league games. Also it's season 13 for Gun Crime in the top flight, a bad sign if ever there was one!
