The old guard secures tanite future

FC Tanon has secured promotion back into Division 5 after spending two seasons in Division 6. This came as a result of winning a playoff fixtures against Saltcoat All Stars 2-1. The departing duo of Zacharias Hoover and Rolv Stensland started what was the final game of the club as they both announced retirement earlier in the season. They made sure to always remain true in the hearts of Tanite fans though as Hoover assisted Christopher Bidoung Mkpatt for the opening goal and Stensland scored the winner in the 81st minute with a diving header. In a season of promoting youngsters and testing new formations, the star midfield duo saw little action as they gave way to get experience behind the club's developing players. They both sign off with the two highest assist providers though, in just a few seasons played, and made sure songs of their exploits will always be sung in the UpYours trenches.
