Nice end to the season

This season has been both difficult and exciting for us.

We started out for the first time fighting for 3 trophies, the Pro League, Pro League Cup and the XCL.

In the Pro League we wanted to make some history by winning the trophy 3 times in succession, which only 1 team has done 20 odd seasons ago!! In the Cup we just aimed for a decent run which we have never experienced before and in the XCL we were just pleased to be there!

In the league, we really found it tough with the extra games and the increased costs that means; plus the larger variances in forms for our players. FC Draikovic and Margem Sul FC also raised the bar this season by both playing outstanding football.

The end result is we have finished 3rd no matter what happens on Monday - which was disappointing but we take our hats off to Margem Sul for winning the league without losing a game. A tremendous achievement.

In the Cup we did get a little bit of revenge by knocking out Margem Sul - and despite not really being a Cup team we found ourselves in the Final today against an equally strong Millionaires team.

The game was pretty even throughout and we went ballistic as Fogby won the tie for us in the 93rd minute making it 2-1 and for us making history by lifting the trophy for the first time in our history.

In the XCL we far exceeded all expectations by reaching the semi finals. Having got to that stage we really wanted to win it, but we came up against the manager Chrille who needs no introduction and just lost out on that.

For a small icing on the cake we also made our best manager rank during the season being world no 1 for past few weeks - which we enjoy

Now we feel exhausted. Forms are beaten, players are injured and we are spending cash faster than we receive it.

Still, we have 2 games to now prepare for next week, for our battle hardened players. But for now we will soak in this victory and celebrate with our fans.
