Stan Hughes - HyperForce Legend

Having placed three players on the transfer list, only one has sold and the other two have been re-listed at marginally lower prices.  The player who did leave was Stan Hughes.  The 34/16 Midfielder was the last remaining member of the HyperForce squad to have played in the top flight and so it really does mark the end of an era.   "I must say I was very pleased when I found out Hughes was only moving down one division, and was to stay in the Ultimate League.  Plaristocrates has picked up a gem of a player, and I'm sure he'll do very well at CL Istanbul 05." Hughes joined HyperForce from the Youth Academy as a 16/3 all the way back in July 2013 (circa Season 28-30 ish), he is fifth on the all-time list having made 306 appearances, whilst scoring fourty-four goals and making sixty-nine assists.  Booked just seven times, Hughes also made the X11 team of the week fifty times, six as Captain.   Talking of Captains, Stan Hughes pulled the armband on for the final time on Monday, as he played the first fourty-five minutes of a 3-2 friendly win over AFC Hampton Rangers.  He came off for Willie Rawlin in the fourty-sixth minute with HyperForce 2-0 up, Rawlin went on to set up the winning goal in the eihty-fifth minute after Rangers had pulled it back to 2-2.  Next up is the 1st Round Cup tie against Div 6 side Mayo FC on Friday afternoon.
