Usurper usurped
Yesterday, September 10th, JS De Tinchebray manager Gmswjambo received a pleasant surprise when logging into his management software: his name was at the top of the French rankings!

It was not the first time that Gmswjambo had been top dog in France, but it had been a while. Indeed, he reached the dizzy heights of 18th almost 11 months ago, but even then the legend that is Bedeur, ex-world number one no less, was the mainstay at the top of the domestic rankings.

Gmswjambo's recent climb has been down to his Golden League side going on good cup runs the last two seasons, as well as finishing runners up in the league last season and gaining promotion the season before that.

You can't keep a good man down though, and Gmswjambo was grateful that he refrained from joyfully ejaculating his recently acquired pole position all over the site. Upon logging in early today, Gmswjambo had returned to the number two spot as Bedeur regained his place as number one. This is curious, as the Major League is currently in silly season, however one assumes 6 months ago they had a not-so-good game that is no longer bringing down their 6-month average.

JST, on the other hand, have a chance to boost Gmswjambo's stock once more as they play in the Golden League Cup semi-final tomorrow. Needless to say, the gaffer is talking down his own ranking and insists he's in no doubt as to who is Le Chef en France:

"Bedeur est l'homme," Gmswjambo stated from his local PMU bar in Lisieux, "he's been number one in the world and has XCL experience. I'm a petit jouer by comparison. I hope to take JST to cup glory as Inter Mossley have had the league in the bag for a couple of weeks. It won't be easy as there are very good sides left in it too, especially Dalaro Demons; but we're the top-ranked side left and have a squad capable of doing it.

"If my ranking gets a wee boost then that's nice, but I'm only thinking about the cup and hopefully getting some XCL action for the first time in my career. If it's not now, then I don't know when it will be as the squad will need an overhaul of sorts next season or the one after."
