| Alderin strike sends Nymphs up to D3 |
After a tough, hard-fought season, AS Ninfas finally secured promotion back to Division 3 with a 1-0 win over Bethanys Binos in the promotion playoff. A solitary strike from Nadja Alderin was enough to secure the victory and kick off a promotion party back at the club's training complex where fans had gathered to watch the game.
Manager AndyC was understandably delighted with the result, commenting "I really want to congratulate all the girls on what they've achieved, not just the fourteen who we saw out there today where they were obviously fantastic, but really the whole squad over the whole of this season. The last couple of years haven't been what we wanted and this season they've really brought things around, got a good team spirit together and pushed on to become much better players and really challenge and win against some talented opposition. I'm so proud of them, they deserve all the success and I can't wait until next season to push on even further!"
With a very positive training report following soon after, the club looks in good shape for next season and await their allocation to a league before they begin preparing for life at the next level.
