There was a time when Karolina Patriksson felt like she was in exactly the right place.
She became an early season signing with St.Tjeljabinsk Ladies. Then, metaphorically at least, she was lost in the Swedish creek for a number of seasons with Beaver army FC, where she started to find herself again. Now, she has arrived at Sever Murmansk, and possibly, home.
It's been a twisting path for the newest Sever Murmansk defender, with three disappointing seasons in Sweden, followed by a brilliant fourth, then a reunion with the coaches she knows from her college days at Sever Murmansk, who put her in position to be her best.
"It's been crazy; just the thought of linking up with a coaching staff I knew from college, and so many great players, just linking up with those girls has been crazy," Patriksson said upon her arrival at the Change Right Stadium, and signing a four-year deal with Sever Murmansk.
"Looking at the pieces that's being added to the defence with what's here, it's exciting. I'm a great addition, and I think we're going to wreck a lot of things. The rest of this season will be difficult but I hope to achieve great things here"
