Worst injury luck ever...
Our "quadruple header" against My-Tee Athletic ended with a second consecutive draw. Not ideal as the rest of the league also drew so this was an opportunity to hoise ourselves out of the relegation zone against an opponent that we really could have done with some points against.

Still, the team came through this without any injuries and Lucas Mantega has actually performed quite well and not conceded any goals. First choice goalkeeper Ivan Draganescu was on track for a full recovery before the Subutteo Stars game.

Then, this happened...

In the last training session the players were training precision shooting by setting up a board with holes in front of the goal. Matts Lagergren decided to fool around and sneaked behind the board. He crept down and stuck his head through one of the holes just as someone fired away an awesome shot that hit Matts Lagergren right in the face. Matts Lagergren got a nasty concussion and will be out of action for 7 days.

I mean, talk about bogus luck this season, our injury record this season is becoming rather legendary and the division is brutally difficult so not having our best players is proving to be difficult.

Our next game is against Subbuteo Stars and we've got some important decisions to make. With Beverley Town pinching points off the promotion chasing teams, Knights really need to be taking some points too if they want to keep pace with trying to stay in this division. But ultimately we need to beat all the teams in the relegation zone to stay up so an important decision needs to be made on team selection.

Risk the slightly injured players against the Stars knowing that we could end up getting an injury and also losing anyway, or just take the defeat with an eye on the Beverley Town game the following week? Our 5 at the back hasn't proven to be particularly strong and Subbuteo roasted our 5 man defence last time around, admittedly that was at their place so hopefully home advantage can at least give us a leg up there.

We haven't managed any kind of win against Subbuteo so far, including friendlies. The away games have all been defeats to them and the home games have all been draws. That being said, given our current situation a draw wouldn't be too bad a result. We do need to be winning games though as we've only managed to win two games so far this season.
