Pink Panters
Division 5:12, The Xpert Ladies
Manager: Ante75
Pink Panters + Ante75 is true!!
Pink Panters announced today that they have signed a new manager. Ante75, newly returned from retirement arrived at the club today. The manager has a bag full of experience with him, although it dates back a few years. With Stendy IF he had great success and did a decent job with the women of Orange County as well.

Pink Panters now hope to close a tough period where manager after manager left the club without gaining success. The new coach was interviewed by the local newspaper and was asked about his plans and visions.

Why did you decide you wanted to train a womens team? You have a lot of teams already?
A: Well, the challenge is greater in the Womens League. All managers gather in the same league here. The transfer market is smaller, more teams have really active managers. You have to be much more on your toes if you want to succeed.

Why Pink Panters?
A: Out of the teams looking for a manager this was the one with the most rich history, the biggest name so to speak. Or I should say: Rotnäset BK was the biggest name. Therefore I am considering changing the name back to Rotnäset BK. It was with that name the club had its greatest moments, for instance when they won Division 1A and played two seasons in the Xpert Ladies (20 and 21).

Isn't Pink Panters a better name internationally speaking?
A: I don't care so much about these kind of considerations. I think it is more important to stick to traditions. The club is bigger than its players and its managers.

Talking about players: You have gotten a strong squad. What are your plans for the season and on the longer term?
A: The squad is strong, no doubt about it, but the best players are getting old. Soon some will retire, get injuries and development is mostly negative when players getting a bit older. It was tempting to just try and squeeze everything out of todays squad, try and win the cup, win Division 2 etcetera. Instead we decided that we need to start planning for the future right now.

The plan is therefore to sell off some of the core players to get some cash. some of the younger players will have to go as well as many of them have not developed sufficiently the last few seasons. Undoubtedly this is due to the lack of engagement from the last managers.

So the people who were hoping for fast victories and titles will have to be patient instead?
A: Yes. This is something for the long run. I will try a few new ideas on the team. Hopefully I can combine a healthy economic situation with building a decent team. The plan is not to fall all the way to the lowest divisions at least. But it all depends how the team reacts on the changes, what new players I can get my hands on and what the older players will sell for.
