AFC Phoenix
Division 4p, Xpert International
Manager: Gphoenix
Young guns pass first test.
Yesterday was Gareth Phoenix's young teams real first test to see if they could actually start climbing back up the leagues like their manager has said they would (even at such a young age). Their opponents were also four wins from four and GP had to contend with a hostile away crown.. It didn't matter. As they have been proving even in previous seasons with older, stronger and more experienced teams Phoenix's exciting development team blew away the opposition and strolled to a comfortable 2-0 win whilst not even entering 3rd gear.

Phoenix: These lads stopped surprising me 2 seasons ago. I've told you they have the raw skill to be the best in Xpert International but only if I can do my job and nurture them correctly. The one skill that is the hardest to teach though is a winning mentality. Taking every game, one at a time and not being fazed.. That has absolutely nothing to do with me. I mean I knew they were winners when we brought this group together in their teens but they're desire to win is infectious, incredibly so actually.

We respect every opposition with the same preparation and yes this is division 5 but all I can see is their desire and that makes me only look up the leagues.

Watch this space.
