...there's only one Vernon Beasant, one Vernon Beaaaaasant."  Two second half goals from Vernon Beasant sealed the three points for Bergamasca today in what was a close game away at S.D Quito, and saw the away supporters singing his name at the final whistle. Beasant's first was a header from the cross of returning defender Don Puttock just minutes into the second half. The home side rallied and pulled level on 68. But with the match seemingly heading for a draw, Beasant picked up the ball at distance and fired home with just moments remaining, to seal the points. The win moves Bergamasca to within 2 points of leaders Globe Trotters.
