| Night City wins promotion |
Fresh off the stinging defeat to Youth Brigade that would deny Night City the title of league champion, the team was further troubled by a high seed in the playoff draw which would pit them against a much stronger team, the Woolwich Figthers [sic]. Both teams played aggressively, and the Woolwich Figthers enjoyed the majority of possesion. In the end, Night City found more chances, and they capitalized, winning 2-1 with goals from club legend Lorand Savencu and the wunderkind 20-year old striker Nejc Jakopin.
"It all worked out to our benefit," said the manager. "Very late in the season, we picked up a 16/5 youth with several great SQs. Amazing! But we only had time to play him in 4 games - yes, he played 90 minutes per game. But losing to Youth Brigade gave us an additional 90 minutes of playing time for young Dömötör Boros, which allowed him to get to +6 DV. Not bad. And we actually won!
"Anyway, I'm glad to see we'll get to play against Youth Brigade again, I'm sure this will be a very difficult season but that will be some good experience for the youngsters. The change report was decent enough, and I'm glad we can offload our old GK and make a tidy profit from it."
