Vbhalla signs off with league title |
DYNAMO KINGSTON FC manager, Vbhalla signed off his 15 year reign at the club with a win and 5th division league title. He was said to be "chuffed" at how he concluded his tenure at the club.
Sealing the division title with a 3-0 win over Violett-Weiss 1919, Kingston end the season with a +51 goal difference in the process, having scored 57 goals and conceding only 6.
The team have much of that thanks to the 31 goals (26 league goals) from star striker Nick Wooton who scored a brace in today's match. Those goals have propelled Wooton to the top of the all time DK record scorers of the club with 99 goals, overtaking Roderick Bauer who he previously jointly held the record with on 97 goals.
What makes Wooton's achievements all the more incredible is that he has reached this milestone in just 225 matches. When one compares this to Bauer and Boateng (89 goals), who reached their tallies in 308 and 303 matches respectively, this puts into perspective just how prolific the current DK front man is.
Attention now turns to next season and who will take the Dynamo Kingston FC hotseat. Vbhalla will be a tough act to follow, however bookmakers have already suggested the red hot favourite is the contentious option of MagnerMagner, current manager of arch rivals, Pathetico. How fans would react to this move remains to be seen given that Pathetico have just been relegated from Division 3 to the 4th tier (ironically, the tier that Kingston have been promoted to).
