Young Bohs Side Grab Win at WCA |
A youthful looking Bohemian Villains battled to a 0-2 win over Cloud Nine today with manager Barios disappointed with the manner of the performance.
"I thought we should have been much better today, although we had quite a young starting 11 we'd still have expected to score a couple more that we did. Look it's three points and 6 from 6 and it was a good to get the young lads out there. Maybe the tougher than expected game will stand to them a bit more than a walkover, but we'll need to be much better when we face Dublin Bay Rovers, who beat these guys 6-0 last week. The league will be won and lost on the likes of the Rovers game but I'd have them favourites for promotion at the moment."
Bohs last week also bowed out of the cup at the first hurdle with a gallant 1-0 loss to Atletico Tetuan, meaning a 2-1 aggregate exit.
"It's probably a moral victory against a much stronger side, but at the same time we're out of the cup so that rings pretty hollow. I'm proud of how the boys did, we went there hoping to get through but I think while they huffed and puffed a bit, that extra bit of class showed in the end with the free kick. Being able to keep them at bay from open play is satisfying, but you don't win medals for that."
Meanwhile Bohs have announced they will play Sailor Moon FC of Division 6:64 in a friendly at Chanel later this week.
