The Fifth Column
Division 5:30, Power League
Manager: Woodstock11
Wins!
The new season is underway! And The Fifth Column got of to a good start, in good shape too, claiming three victories in a row.

In the Cup the draw was convenient as the Title Challengers were drawn. And they might claim many titles someday they aren't quite ready just yet. The Fifth Column was able to field all the youngest who claimed easy wins and showcased a lot of talent.

In a sold out Hell's Kitchen longstanding foes Jamaican Lions came for a visit. The teams met for the 15th(!) time! The Five Points team took control of the game quickly and got a 2-0 lead at teatime. Which allowed for taking a bit of risk and substituting 3 of the big shots for three of the youngest players. This actually made for the Lions roaring a bit louder, but at the the result was 2-1 and the first three points are on the scoreboard in the hunt for another good mid table position.

The Fifth Column actually drew quite a strong opponent for round two in the Cup. Meaning probably not all youngsters can be played but the opponent only has ten players in the squad and is quite predictable which is a bonus.

The second league game is away and extra jackets are quickly ordered and The Fifth Column will bring their lighters to the pitch as well as their impressive armoury of knives, bats and whatnot as they play the Polar Bears in a rather chilly environment.
