Marquee Signing #2..??? |
Janes Addiction yesterday secured the services of the highly rated young 20/10 goalkeeper Ann Ejemyr for a nominal sum of money, but Manager LFC73 is convinced that she is worth every penny spent!
"It's looking like a win win situation with an offer about to go through on our incumbent goalkeeper," said LFC73, "so I couldn't be happier with proceedings at the moment.
"Ann is the perfect fit for the squad, and her rather Greedy like tendancies are a bit of a throwback to the great Charlotta Ekstrommer who was the mainstay and total backbone of our acclaimed back to back Ladies Cup successes back in seasons 57 and 58.
"I've always maintained that to create a great team you have to start from the back, and this girl shows all the signs that she is the one to lead us through to our next (hopeful) steps of challenges.
"My major signing just prior to last season (Suki Kukino) has thus far proven to be a great success, so I am hoping that Ann will follow in her footsteps and have a positive campaign with us.
"The biggest surprise with her arrival was that she came in in very good condition, which is a much appreciated but total surprise for this rather volatile League!
"And as I said at the beginning of last season - 'We've splashed a little cash, but it's been needed if we are to move forward.'
"I've received some positive vibes around certain players after the last Change Report, so we will remain as we are and hopefully develop well over the new campaign. And although I'm not expecting to be in the mix for promotion this season, hopefully that will start to come into play from the following season onwards!"
